Imdermalab® Jin Xuan

Description

Taiwan’s unique tea "Jin Xuan", organically grown at over 2000 meters or above altitude in Mountain Alishan. Jin Xuan is one of the most popular varieties among tea lovers due to its milky aroma. Through a green patented process, Imdermalab®Jin Xuan isolated caffeine from tea and gained 8 times catechins content. It has proved to have anti-oxidation, anti-sensitization, anti-bacterial and anti-acne effects. Imdermalab® Jin Xuan has been assigned INCI name in 2020.

Mechanism of action

  • Reduce reactive oxygen species (ROS) in cells to achieve antioxidant effect.
  • Inhibit NF-κB and AP-1 pathways, decreaseing expression of IL-1, IL-6 and IL-8, and reduceing inflammatory response.
  • Induce cytotoxicity of SEB-1 sebocytes via apoptosis and decreases the viability of P. acnes.
  • Inhibit the release of β-hexosamindase to achieve an allergy-inhibiting effect.
  • Destroy the lipid bilayer of bacteria, inhibit the adhesion of bacteria to cell membranes without destroying upper epidermal cells.
